The Classification of the Narration about Defending Your Wealth

Question:

I have a question about a hadith. A man came to the Prophet [SAW] and said: "What if a man comes to me and wants to take my wealth?" He said: "Remind him of Allah." He said: "What if he pays no heed?" He said: "Seek the help of the Muslims around you against him." He said: "What if there are no Muslims around me?" He said: "Seek the help of the ruler against him." He said: "What if the ruler is far away from me?" He said: "Fight to defend your wealth until you either become one of the martyrs of the Hereafter, or you protect your wealth (successfully)."
(Sunan Nasai-Book 37, Hadith 116)
I want to know whether this hadith is authentic and which scholar authenticated this hadith? Dar usslam publishers have already said it is authentic but are they reliable.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His Slave and Messenger.

This Hadeeth was classified as authentic by Shaykh Al-Albaani in his classification of Sunan An-Nasaa'i. Shaykh Al-Albaani was well known for his prominence in the science of Hadeeth and his role in the classification of the Ahadeeth. Prominent Scholars of his time such as Shaykh Ibn Baz, Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen and others testified his competence.

What counts (in the authenticity of the narration) is the person who assessed the Hadeeth and classified it. Regarding Dar as-Salam publishers, we have no information about those who work with them or cooperate with them in this regard (classification or narrations), and as a rule, one can only judge if we know those who verify the classification of Ahadeeth.

Allah Knows best.
