Question:

What is the rules when qouting a part of hadith?, is it enough to just make sure i dont cut it where the meaning can be altered?.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and messenger.

We have already clarified that it is permissible to quote from the Noble Qur'an or from the Prophetic Hadeeth (narrations). This the view of the majority of the scholars, if it is done for a purpose accepted in Sharee'ah and the intention is only to improve the speech and to consolidate its meanings in people's minds, and as long as it is not done in mockery or in jest. Since you write to us in Arabic sometimes, we refer you to Arabic Fataawa on our website about the ruling on quoting and its conditions. Please visit Fatwa 331210 about the ruling on quoting the Prophetic narrations, and Fatwa 224119 on the types of quotations from the Noble Qur'an and the ruling on each type.

We did not understand what you mean by saying "Is it enough that I do not cut the Hadeeth... etc.?"

Allah knows best.
