Question:

Assalamualaikum sheikh.last 3 years i had commited kufr unknowingly.Recently,i got recall to this sin.Alhamduliilah i had repented. My question is in those 3 years i pray i fast.Did all my good deeds that i do in those 3 years accepted or not because of my ignorance and forgetfullness.Jazakallah khayran

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

You did not explain to us the act that you did so that we could judge whether it is an act of Kufr or not, as what you have in mind might be nothing but whispers.

Assuming that it was an act of Kufr, you will not be accountable for it and will be excused for your ignorance if you committed it unknowing that it is prohibited by the Sharee’ah. Allah, the Almighty, Says (what means): {And never would We punish until We sent a messenger.} [Quran 17:15]

Assuming that what you did takes you out of the fold of Islam because you did it while being aware of the prohibition, the prayers you perform after committing such act shall bring you back to Islam. Therefore, there is no need to worry about your deeds being rendered void, for Allah, the Almighty, does not waste the reward of the doers of good.

Allah knows best.
