All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
This is not considered kufr or shirk, unless a person helps someone commit disbelief while admiring it or loving the act of kufr itself. Otherwise, the action is a sin.
As-Shihab Al-Khifāji
states in his commentary on al-Bayḍāwī’s tafsīr: “Merely being pleased with an act of disbelief while detesting it does not make one a disbeliever. It only becomes kufr if a person actually admires or approves of the disbelief. Allah the Exalted, relates the words of Mūsā (which means): “...And harden their hearts so that they will not believe...” His intention was asking for their punishment to be increased”. [End quote]
Allah knows best.
