Christianization: Meaning, danger and goals

15-2-2012 | IslamWeb

Question:

What is the meaning of evangelism? What are its goals? What is the Islamic stance regarding it?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam,  is His slave and Messenger.

It is more precise to say Christianization instead of evangelism. It means that Christians invite Muslims and others to embrace the abrogated and distorted religion of Christianity.

Muslims must stop the expansion of Christianization and not allow them to construct their organizations on Muslim lands. Muslims must not help them in any form.

It should be noted that there are some Christianizers who come to Muslim lands in a flagrant, clear manner. Some of them hide themselves behind various goals. Some of them take Orientalismm as a façade for them by claiming that they are specialists in studying the Islamic heritage. Sometime, they come as doctors, nurses, technicians, relief organizations, etc.

Despite their various forms and names, their goal and intention is one. They want Muslims to abandon their religion and want to shake their adherence to their creed. To do so, they exploit the weakness, poverty and ignorance of Muslims about their religion.

Allaah Knows best.
