Treatment for possession

Question:
My wife is possessed by the devil, and we have tried to exorcise the Jinni who had promised to leave her alone, but did not. How should we treat her?
Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.
We supplicate Allaah The Almighty to grant your wife a quick recovery. Our advice concerning exorcising the Jinni possessing her is to perform the legislated Ruqyah for her. Ask your wife to read the Ruqyah herself and to observe the bedtime, morning and evening Athkaar. You must remove anything that may attract the devil such as pictures of animate objects, statutes or musical instruments. The Quran should be recited in the house even by cassettes. Allaah Willing, she will recover soon through regular Athkaar and supplications. If the case becomes more difficult, you should see a trustworthy person who performs Ruqyah.
