Question:

Is it permissible for a young man to give Da’wah to young women?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.

Sharee’ah has guided us to cooperate in spreading virtue and call people to Allaah The Almighty. By doing so a person attains steadfastness on the truth and spreads goodness and virtue within the society. Calling women to the way of Allaah The Almighty is better to be done by women. However, it is permissible for a man to undertake this mission if there is a necessity to do so, like the lack of female who can shoulder this responsibility. However, all Sharee‘ah rules must be met while in the course of Da’wah. These rules include adherence to Hijab, avoiding being in seclusion with women. Additionally, one block all possible roads to temptation when calling females to the path of Allaah.

We supplicate Allaah The Almighty to grant us all steadfastness upon truth and guidance to do good deeds.

Allaah Knows best.
