Performing Ablution with a Burned Arm

Question:

I burned my whole arm. How should I wash it for the prayer since water is not good for burn?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If you cannot use water because of the intensity of your burn, because you fear that water might cause you harm or you fear that it might delay your recovery, then you can perform Tayammum (dry ablution) as Allah Says (what means): {O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying or in a state of janabah, except those passing through [a place of prayer], until you have washed [your whole body]. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and find no water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands [with it]. Indeed, Allah is ever Pardoning and Forgiving.} [Quran 4: 43]

But if you can use water by heating it or can put a cloth or the like on the burn, then you may wipe on the place of the burn and wash the remaining places of the body. If you lack the ability to do so, then you should do it according to your ability as Allah Says (what means): {So fear Allah as much as you are able and listen and obey and spend [in the way of Allah]; it is better for your selves. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful.} [Quran 64: 16]

Allah knows best.
