Necklaces with Qur'anic verses

Question:

Are Muslims allowed to wear silver necklaces with Qur'an on them (Surat al-Kursee)?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

If these necklaces are worn as amulets to seek refuge with Allah from Satan, there is a disagreement of scholars over their rule. But the most preponderant view is that to wear this kind of amulet is unlawful according to Sharia because the person wearing them might forget to remove them when entering the bathroom or he might put them in a place that is not appropriate for them. Qur'an is sacred and should not be put just any place.
Again, if the person who knows the rule of wearing amulets that contain only Qur'an wears one, some ignorant people might imitate him and wear amulets that contain things other than the Qur'an and this is prohibited.
