Names of Paradise

Question:

What are the names of Paradise? Is al-Nada among the names of Paradise?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Here are some of the names of Jannah (Paradise).

1. Al-Husna; Allah Says (what means): {For them who have done good is the best [reward] (i.e. Paradise).} [Quran 10:26]

2. Daarus-Salam: Allah Says (what means): {For them will be the Home of Peace with their Lord. And He will be their protecting friend because of what they used to do.} [Quran 6:127]

3. Jannat Adn: Allah Says (what means): {Allah has promised the believing men and believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence; but approval from Allah is greater.} [Quran 9:72]

4. Jannat al-Nayeem: Allah Says (what means): {Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Beneath them rivers will flow in the Gardens of Pleasure.} [Quran 10:9]

5. Dar al-Muttaqeen: Allah Says (what means): {For those who do good in this world is good; and the home of the Hereafter is better. And how excellent is the home of the righteous.} [Quran 16:30]

6. Jannat al-Firdous: Allah Says (what means): {Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - they will have the Gardens of Al-Firdaus (Paradise) as a lodging.} [Quran 18:107]

7. Jannat al-Khuld: Allah Says (what means): {Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity [Jannatul-Khuld] which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination.} [Quran 25:15]

8. Al-Ghurfah: Allah Says (what means): {Those will be awarded the Chamber [Al-Ghurfah] for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace.} [Quran 25:75]

9. Dar al-Muqamah: Allah Says (what means): {He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]."} [Quran 35:35]

10. Dar al-Qarrar; Allah Says (what means): {O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement.} [Quran 40:39]

'Nada' is not among the names of Jannah (Paradise).
