Praying Asr a few minutes before Maghrib

Is it Haram to pray Asr a few minutes before Maghrib prayer? If so, could you please quote me some authentic Hadith and Sunnah which mention this? If it is Haram, what is the latest time that we could pray Asr?
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
The best and most preferred time to pray al-'Asr ends when the sun becomes yellowish. In other words, the preferred time to pray al-'Asr continues as long as the sun is bright white and comes to an end when it becomes yellow.
In this vein, on the authority of Abdullah Ibn 'Amr that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "The time of al-'Asr prayer comes to an end when the sun becomes yellowish" . [Reported by Imam Muslim ].
Thus, it is not permitted to delay al-'Asr prayer until the sun becomes yellow unless there is need, and the time of necessity comes to an end when the sun sets.
One who does not perform al-'Asr prayer in the preferred time, due to some excuse or not, has to perform it in the time of necessity even in the last moments before the sunsets. Such performance is considered to be in the proper time, i.e. not making up.
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (Radiya Allahu Anhu) that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "Whoever catches on Rak'ah of al-'Asr prayer before the sun sets (and then prays the remainder of the prayer after the sun has sets) has not missed al-'Asr prayer" . [Reported by Imams al-Bukhari and Muslim ].
Allah knows best.
