Removing Hijab for brother in-law

Question:

I am wearing Hijab, and for family reasons my husband and I live at my brother in-law's house. Is Halal, Haram, or Makroh to take off my Hijab just in front of him, based on the idea that he is temporarily Mahram on me, as long as my husband is still alive, and we are still married?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

There is no harm to live with your husband in one house with your brother in-law and his wife provided that there should be partitions between both families even in passages and toilets so as no one can see what may lead to temptation.
In addition, it is Haram to take off your Hijab in front of your brother in-law, as well as the wife of your brother in-law is not permitted to take off her Hijab in the presence of your husband, since both of you are not prohibited for them (your husband and hers) for ever, i.e. they are only temporary Mahram.
Allah knows best.
