There must be one dedicated Muezzin

Question:

Did Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ever made ADHAN by himself? If yes, please give reference and if not, then what was the reason behind?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

It is proved that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) assigned some Muezzins to call the Azan due to their good beautiful voice like Bilal Ibn Abu Rabhah, Abdullah Ibn Umm Maktoom and Abu Mahzura (RAA). Then, there is no evidence, according to our knowledge, that tells us if the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) assumed the Azan by himself. We think this is because of being engaged in the great leadership of Muslims and leading them in prayers at his Mosque (SAW), conducting the general affairs of Muslims and the invitation to Islam.
Also, it is enacted in Shari'a to assign one Muezzin to lead people in prayers as done in the era of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam).
Allah knows best
