Question:

Who is Allah?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Sane, intelligent people throughout history are agreed that nothingness cannot create anything and that the act has to be done by a doer and the created (being) is created by a creator.

If we accept the above fact, we know, undoubtedly, that this great universe including the human being must have a Creator and that this Creator must be Perfect, Lofty and deemed far above any deficiencies or imperfection.

This Creator who is characterized by Absolute Ability, Hearing, Sight, Knowledge and Will is Allah. Allah, The Exalted, The One, The Single, The Eternal, is He Who Supports each and every person. All people feel that they depend on Him and return to Him when in need as Allah Says (what means): {And when adversity touches you at sea, lost are [all] those you invoke except for Him. But when He delivers you to the land, you turn away [from Him]. And ever is man ungrateful.} [Quran 17: 67]

Allah, The Most High, is the Creator of the Heaven, and Earth and everything that is in them. Allah Says (what means): {Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?} [Quran 52: 35]. Allah also Says (what means): {Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief.} [Quran 52: 36]

The evidence of the existence of Allah is The Perfection of His Strength and Ability and the Greatness of His Power. This can be perceived by any sane person in all that his eyes see. He can also perceive this in his own body which has well established systems as well as his own soul. Allah Says (what means): {We will show them Our Signs in the universe, and in their own selves, until it becomes manifest to them that this (the Quran) is the truth.} [Quran 41: 53]

Allah also Says (what means): {Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One; Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born. Nor is there to Him any equivalent."} [Quran 112: 1-4]
