Question:

I have doubts about Islam can you prove to me that the Qur'an is not the word of the Jinn?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. To prove that Qur'an is not the word of the devils or the jinn or the fabrications of monks and clergies, one needs to have deep pondering and contemplation; therefore, Allah Almighty says in the Qur'an: {Nor diviner's speech, little is it that ye remember!}[69:42]. Al-Baidhawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The differentiation between the Qur'an and divination depends on taking into account the situation of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Qur'anic spirit and principles which are contradictory to the diviners' dispositions and sayings . Here we mention some issues which can stand as pieces of evidence that the Qur'an is by no means the work of the Jinn: 1. Contemplate the abundant glimpses of goodness, righteousness, and guidance, which is beyond the ability and nature of the jinn and devils to produce. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {The devils did not bring it down. It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power}[26:210-211]. Explaining the meaning of this verse, Ibn Katheer said: Qur'an can never be the production of the devils for they are corrupt and deviant in nature and keen to causing aberrance and corruption to Allah's worshippers. Whereas Qur'an is a Book replete with prohibiting evil, enjoining good, light, and clear guidance. There is a huge difference between the Holy Qur'an and the devils. That is why Allah Says: {It is not meet for them}[26:211]. 2. Ponder over the highly refined Qur'anic phraseology and matchless charismatic eloquence with which Allah defied both jinn and mankind to imitate. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {Say: Verily, though mankind and the Jinn should assemble to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof though they were helpers one of another. }[17:88]. There were among the Arabs diviners who were haunted and inspired by devils, so had they truly been able to encounter the Qur'an and produce something similar to it, they would have not hesitated to do so, due to their bitter enmity with Prophet Muhammad ( sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention )). 1) The Holy Qur'an, in many places, chides and curses the devils. And it is impossible that they bring down something that curses them. 2) Worth attention are the events and information that the Qur'an talked about as predictions, none of which came to be untrue with the course of time up to date. Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) confidently proclaimed these facts and portents and talked about them repeatedly in different assemblies without the slightest fear lest time come to refute his proclamations. On the contrary, the diviners and their likes who claim fortune-telling and allege knowing the unseen, are in the habit of telling more lies and fabrications than facts. When anyone of them tells of something, he becomes so worried lest what he tells come otherwise. These are some of the points which, once deeply contemplated, show the clear-cut difference between the Qur'an and the manipulation of the devils. The challenge to all jinn and mankind to produce a like to the Qur'an is still going on until Doomsday. The answer to everyone who doubts the attribution of the Qur'an to Allah is the following Ayah (verse): {And if ye are in doubt concerning that which We revealed unto Our slave (Muhammad), then produce a sura or the like thereof, and call your witnesses beside Allah if ye are truthful.}[2:23]. Allah knows best.
