Playing American-style football

Question:

Is it Halal for a Muslim to play American style football where you can tackle a person?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

If playing American football causes any harm to those playing it, then it is unlawful to play. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: There should not be harm nor reciprocal harm.  Otherwise, it is lawful to play it provided the Awrah of the players is not exposed.
