Question:

It is reported that Allah (SWT) Says search for Me and you will find Me; if you find Me you find every thing. What is the meaning of this and how can one find Allah (SWT)?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

We did not find what you mentioned in the books of Sunnah.  However, we found in Ibn Al Qayyim’s book: Tariq Al Hijratain: ‘The person is considered rich as soon as he gets what eliminates his poverty and fulfils his needs.  But, there is in the heart a great penury and a dire necessity that cannot be overcome except if the person has this strong belief in the Omnipotent, the Rich.  If the person reaches this state, he gets everything he wishes otherwise he loses everything.  As Allah The Almighty is the Rich in Reality and there is no Rich except Him, then whoever is satisfied with Him, he is rich in reality and no richness can be achieved otherwise’.

Allah knows best.
