Question:

When will Dooms Day come? Explain it in detail. Also justify the statement that Dooms Day will come after the last Mu'min dies. Do you agree on this statement? Explain it briefly.

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

The Day of Judgment will occur only on wicked and evil people as mentioned in the Hadith reported by Muslim that Abdullah Ibn Masood may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "The hour will not take place except on evil and wicked people."

The Mu'mins will not witness the hour; they will die before it occurs.

Muslim in his Sahih reported that Abdullah Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him narrated a Hadith in which Dajjal is mentioned, and the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "... Then Allah will send a cold wind coming from the direction of Sham (Syria, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon) that will take the souls of every person who  has an atom's weight of Iman in his heart, even if he is inside the depth of a mountain, it will enter it and it will take his soul." He said: "I heard it from Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam). The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) further says in the same Hadith "Then the wicked and evil persons will remain……"

Muslim reported in his sahih that Anas may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "The Hour will not take place until there is no one on earth who says: "O, Allah, O, Allah."

Allah knows best.
