She wants to call a male colleague to Islam

Question:

Please advise me. I have a very kind colleague at work who is French, very polite and a respectful man. I want to help him convert Islam. He said he is ready to do if I can convince him. He has the intention to search and convert.
What is the best way for me to convince him, e.g. the best subjects or sites for him to search, stories of people who converted Islam, etc.? I need to know about some of them and how they converted to Islam .
I need this help; he is some one who does not merit to be KAFIR.

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

First of all, we thank you for your zeal to guide this man, and this is evidence your love for the religion of Islam and a proof that you care about calling people to Allaah.

However, you should know that there are limits that a Muslim woman should not transgress and requirements she should meet, even if it is for the purpose of calling people to Allaah (Da'wah). One of the main requirements is not to stay in seclusion with a man as the Prophet ( sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention )) said: "A man should not be alone with a woman except in the presence of her Maharim (non-marriageable relative)." (Al-Bukhari)

You should not speak to him in a soft attractive way, as Allaah Says (interpretation of meaning): "...then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery, etc.) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner." (Al-Ahzab 33:32)

If you arrange with one of your Maharim or any Muslim male to take this role of calling this man to Islam, it will be better for you and for him, rather than approaching him yourself, because you have to protect your religion from any weakness and prevent the evil that might happen, the consequences of which you would not realize except after committing it.

However, if you do not find a man who would carry out the Da'wah to this Frenchman, then you can do yourself, but without transgressing the limits and requirements that we have mentioned.

You can make use of religious tapes recorded in his language and the translation of the Qur'aan and books that introduce Islam. Praise be to Allaah, you can find these books in libraries (and bookshops) and in centers of calling non-Muslim communities to Islam.

You may search other websites through those mentioned above.

Allaah knows best.
