Question:

How can I get more blessings from Allah to make sure I am on the right path?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

The best way of acquiring more blessings after having performed obligations and staying away from prohibitions is to remember Allah as much as possible with the tongue, heart and limbs.

The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “Shall I not inform you about the best and purest of your deeds in the sight of your Lord, and which increases your degrees, and which is better than meeting your enemy, cutting their heads or them cutting your heads? They replied:" Please inform us, O, Prophet of Allah? Thereupon, the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "The remembrance of Allah." [Reported by Maalik, Ahmed, At-Tirmithi and others]

Reading the Quran is the best remembrance to get more blessings.

The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "Whoever reads a letter from the book of Allah will get a reward (a blessing) and the reward is multiplied tenfold. I do not say 'Alif Laam Meem' is a letter but 'Alif' is a letter 'Laam' is a letter 'Meem' is a letter." [Reported by At-Tirmithi and others]

You have to know, dear brother, that any act of obedience that one does to please Allah, will get a reward from Allah for it, whether it is a small or a big act. Many acts of obedience which seem to be small, are reasons of forgiveness of sins.

The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "A man was walking and he was very thirsty, so he descended into a well and drank from it, then he climbed out of the well. He found a dog eating dust because of being very thirsty, so the man said: "Indeed this dog is in the same situation as I was." So, he went down into the well, filled his shoes with water and held it in his mouth, then he climbed up the well and gave the water to the dog to drink. Allah was thankful for his action and forgave him. They said:" O Prophet of Allah, are we rewarded for being kind to animals"? The prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said:" You get a reward by being kind to any living being." [Reported by Al-Bukhari]

Finally, you have to know dear brother that one of the best ways to acquiring more blessings and to avoid being inflicted is to migrate from non-Muslim countries to Muslim countries.

The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said to ‘Amr Ibn Al-Aas: "Don't you know that migration wipes out previous sins?" [Reported by Ahmed and others]

Allah knows best.
