Learning Centers in Yemen

Question:

I have a question about a place in Yemen, called Dammaj. I have heard that they teach Arabic and Islaam there. That someone named Shaykh Muqbil used to teach there, something called "Daar ul-Hadeeth". My question is, since we have a lot of young people/students who want to study, is this a place that is ok and good in Deen, or not.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

Shaykh Muqbil Al-Waad'ee may Allaah have mercy upon him was one of the scholars of Hadeeth. He is well-known in our contemporary era. He passed away may Allaah have mercy upon him. But there are many other centers where one could go (to learn religion and knowledge), like the Da'wa Centre in Sanaa' (Yemen).

Allaah knows best.
