Question:

I am pregnant and I get discharged often. I pray regularly I would like to know. Can I pray in this condition?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

When these discharges stop for a period of time during which you may perform your prayer, you have to make ablution when the time for the prayer starts and renew your ablution for each prayer. In this case it is not permissible for you to join two prayers at the same time. However if these discharges are continuous and do not stop for a period of time during which you may perform ablution and pray, then you have to make ablution when the time of prayer starts and then pray immediately. [There is no harm on you if you have some discharge while praying because you are excused]. Under these conditions, you can also join Thuhr and 'Asr prayers, and Maghrib and 'Ishaa', according to the opinion of some jurists may Allaah have mercy upon them. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, it is better not to join the prayers unless it is really necessary.

Allaah knows best.
