Question:

Is it permissible a father and son marriage sisters?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

There is no harm for a father to marry the sister of his son's wife or for the son to marry the sister of his father's wife (step mother) as long as there are no marriage impediments like these men being related to the sisters by suckling, etc. The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "What is prohibited by reason of family lineage is also prohibited by suckling relationship." [Al-Bukhari and An-Nasaa'ee] The above meaning is included in the saying of Allaah where, after mentioning the women who are forbidden for us for marriage, He says (which means): {…All others are lawful, provided you seek (them in marriage) with a dowry from your property, desiring chastity, not committing illegal sexual intercourse…}[4: 24].

Allaah knows best.
