Her husband does not satisfy her sexually

Question:

I got married recently and there is a 7-years difference between me and my husband. I am much more active than him, and that includes sexually. I have tried talking to him about this and he has tried to increase the number of times we have sex but he has a busy schedule and I know he is tired a lot. This leaves me very frustrated sexually and I don't know what to do. This was actually one of the reasons I agreed to get married (to stay away from Haraam) but I still find myself sexually dissatisfied a lot. I know this is not common in girls but it is a huge problem for me and I do not know what to do. This may be the downfall of my marriage and I don't want it to be as I love my husband very much but what can I do? What is the alternative? Please help!

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

Islamic religion urges the husband to live honourably with his wife, Allaah says (which means): {…and live with them honourably…}[4:19]. Living with her honourably means that the husband has to endeavour as much as he can to keep his wife chaste. So if your husband is as you stated in the question that he is busy with other things and neglects to satisfy your desires, then we advise you to sit with him and talk to him frankly on this matter. Remind him that you love him and you are in need of him, and that you are keen on staying away from committing illegal sexual intercourse. Besides, try to attract him by beautifying yourself to him and be careful of anything that could arouse your desires while your husband is away or is busy.

Allaah knows best.
