Question:

I find it very difficult to get up for Salaat-ul-Fajr kindly give me some Warad for that and if you could also tell me how could I prevent unnecessary thoughts coming to my mind during Salaat. Also can I use company provided vehicle to go to the mosque?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

We have previously issued Fatwa: 88163 mentioning the steps and means to take in order to wake up to perform Fajr prayer on time. Among other means also is to sleep in a state of ablution and recite the legislated mention of Allaah which are mentioned in the Prophetic Sunnah when going to sleep, like reciting verses 255, 285 and 286 of chapter Al-Baqarah (The Cow) and chapters 112, 113 and 114. Besides you should ask Allaah to help you and enable you to that effect. So if you take all these measures, you will wake up for Fajr prayer, Inshaa' Allaah.

We have also issued Fatwa: 82335concerning how to repel the whispers that a person has during the prayer, so you may refer to it.

The following means may also help to repel the whispers: Imaam Muslim may Allaah have mercy upon him reported that 'Uthmaan Ibn Al-'Aas may Allaah be pleased with him asked the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) saying: "O, Messenger of Allaah! The devil intervenes between me and my prayer and my reciting of the Qur'an, and he confounds me. Thereupon, the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "That is (the doing of the devil) who is known as Khinzib, and when you perceive its effect, seek refuge with Allaah from it and spit three times to your left." 'Uthmaan may Allaah be pleased with him said: "I did that and Allaah dispelled him from me."

As regards the use of your company car after working hours, the ruling differs according to the regulations which determine the use of such a car. So if the regulations permit its use during or after working hours for personal use, then there is no harm in using it. However, if the regulations specify that the car can only be used during working hours then it is not permissible to use it for personal matters.

Allaah knows best.
