Distribution of inheritance

Question:

I have this inheritance problem that I need your help clarify and solve. A) A man dies. His total assets are 3000,00. B) He is survived by his 1 wife, 3 daughters, and his 2 parents. C) How much does the wife get? D) How much do the 3 daughters get? E) How much do his 2 parents get?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

 

If the heirs are only those who are mentioned in the question, then the inheritance should be divided as follows:

The wife gets one eighth of the inheritance.

The three daughters will get two thirds altogether.

Each of the father and mother will have a sixth portion of the inheritance. The distribution of the inheritance after applying the method of 'Awl (i.e. the shares of the inheritors exceed the sum of the total inheritance). By applying the laws of 'Awl the shares are regulated according to the following: The inheritance will be divided to 27 shares. The wife will get three out of the 27 shares. The father will get 4 shares, the mother will also get 4 shares, and the daughters will get 16 shares that will be divided equally between them.
