Questionable information related to her by 'born Muslims'

Question:

A sister who has been Muslim for about two years has shared with me some of the things that she has learned from dear fellow sisters of ours who was born into this Deen. I have been a bit confused by some of these teachings of which she has shared as they run contrary to what I have learned, Al-HumduLilah. I ask you for clarification for myself and how I might deqaal with sisters in these situations, Inshaa Allaah. I have 3 questions:
1)My friend was told by her husband and our sister that she should fast Ramadhaan even when pregnant.
2)Also, that when your infant takes in nothing but what it gets from it's mother during breastfeeding, Al-HumduLillaah, that the mother is to continue observing all fasts as well.
3)Adam and Howwa had two children. One was black and one was white and that this information is in our beloved Quran.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

What you have mentioned about the children of Aadam is not mentioned in the Quran. What is mentioned in the Quran about the two children of Aadam may Allaah exalt his mention is the following: Allaah says (which means): {And recite to them the story of Aadam’s two Sons, in truth, when they both offered a sacrifice [to Allaah], and it was accepted from one of them but was not accepted from the other. Said [the latter], ''I will surely kill you." Said [the former], "Indeed, Allaah only accepts from the righteous [who fear Him]. If you should raise your hand against me to kill me, I shall not raise my hand against you to kill you. Indeed, I fear Allaah, Lord of the worlds. Indeed, I want you to obtain [thereby] my sin and your sin so you will be among the companions of the Fire. And that is the recompense of wrongdoers. And his soul permitted to him the murder of his brother, so he killed him and became among the losers.}[Quran 5:27-30]. As regards one of them being white and the other black, this is something that is neither mentioned in the Quran nor in the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ).

Allaah knows best.
