Question:

There is a great verse in the Quran, whoever reads it after each obligatory prayer, there is nothing which prevents him from entering Paradise except death. What is this verse?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

The verse that you are inquiring about is Aayatul Kursi, Quran 2:255. The evidence is that 'Ali may Allaah be pleased with him said: ''I heard the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) saying while on his pulpit: 'Whoever reads Aayatul Kursi, (Quran 2:255), after each obligatory prayer, there is nothing which prevents him from entering Paradise except death, and it is only a righteous and pious worshipper who would persist in reciting it regularly.'' [Al-Bayhaqi] Al-Albaani may Allaah have mercy upon him classified it as authentic, and other scholars may Allaah have mercy upon them classified it as a sound narration.

Allaah Knows best.
