Listening to lectures of missionaries

Question:

Is it permissible to listen to the lectures of Christian missionaries?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

No, it is not permissible for a Muslim to listen to the missionaries as their statements are full of falsehood, lies and fable tales which sound mind does not accept. Even without taking into consideration their false claims and their forged religion which calls to associating partners to Allaah and trinity, their speech in general does not have any scientific value or real benefit, as it is principally based on initiating misconceptions and covering the truth with falsehood. Therefore, their speech kills the heart, ruins one's insight and disturbs the mind; indeed these are their main objectives to which they want a Muslim to fall, in case they are unable to turn him into a Christian by exploiting his need and pressurizing him with different means. One of their priests once said: 'If you are unable to turn a Muslim into a Christian, then at least drive him away from the mosque.'  This means disturbing his mind and causing him misconception in his religion.

So, these missionaries are indeed impostors as they trick and bluff people to turn them away from their religion by taking advantage of their needs.

Finally, we advise the questioner to cooperate with his Muslim brothers and urge them to stick to their religion, and listen to lectures and religious tapes which enlighten them with regard to their religion and their worldly matters, as well as increasing their awareness on what is going on around them.

Allaah Knows best.
