Sayings of Hoor (the women of Paradise)

Question:

The Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, saw women who told him: "We are fair and beautiful wives, we are the wives of pious people, purified from dirt and impurities, we stay where we are and we do not move away, and we are eternal and will never die." Who are these women?
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

 

These women are the Hoor (the women of Paradise) as reported by Ibn Katheer may Allaah have mercy upon him in his Tafseer (interpretation) that Anas Ibn Maalik may Allaah be pleased with him said: ''Jibreel (Gabriel) said: ''O Muhammad, did you ask your Lord to show you the Hoor? The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) replied: "Yes." Jibreel said: "Go to those women, greet them with Salaam while they are sitting on the left side of the rock." The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "I went to them and greeted them with Salaam and they responded to me. Then I asked: "Who are you?" They replied: "We are the fair and beautiful wives, we are the wives of the pious people, purified from dirt and impurities, we stay where we are and we do not move away, and we are eternal and will never die."
