Question:

Is there any narration of the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, about the people of Jerusalem mosque and that they would be in Paradise, Allaah willing, because of the injustice they suffered?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

'Abdullaah, the son of Imaam Ahmad may Allaah have mercy upon them said: 'I found my father's handwriting…and then he mentioned the chain of narrators until Abu Umaamah may Allaah be pleased with him who said: "The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "A group of my nation (the Muslims) will remain fighting for the truth and backing it till the Day of Resurrection, and will continue to be triumphant over their enemies. He who deserts them will not harm them, except the hardship [they will experience from travel and so forth], and they will remain in this position until Allaah's Command is executed [the Hour overtakes them]." The companions may Allaah be pleased with them inquired: "And where are they? He sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "They are in Jerusalem mosque and its surroundings."'  This narration is also reported by At-Tabaraani may Allaah have mercy upon him and Al-Haythami may Allaah have mercy upon him said: 'The narrators of the above narration are trustworthy.'

Allaah Knows best.
