Question:

Who was the companion whose supplication was responded to by Allaah at the time of the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

It is confirmed that there was a group of companions may Allaah be pleased with them whose supplications were responded to. For instance, Al-Baraa' Ibn Maalik may Allaah be pleased with him. At-Tirmithi may Allaah have mercy upon him reported: "…How many people who are full of dust and tired, whom no one would pay attention to, if they would invoke Allaah, Allaah will answer them, among whom is Al-Baraa' Ibn Maalik." Another companion was Sa'd Ibn Abu Waqqaas may Allaah be pleased with him. The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "O Allaah, guide his steps and answer his supplication." [Al-Mustadrak]

Among whom also were, Sa'eed Ibn Zayd and Al-'Alaa' Ibn Al-Hadhrami, and 'Umar may Allaah be pleased with them.

Allaah Knows best.
