A woman is not obliged to wash vaginal discharges

Question:

Thank you for answering my question regarding the normal fluid that exits from the uterus which is pure. I just wanted a better clarification on whether or not I have to wash my body and clothes, for example if I'm at work or not at home and I can only perform ablution (Wudu).

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

We have already clarified in Fatwa 82539 that the wetness of the vagina of the woman (i.e. vaginal discharge) is pure and the woman is not obliged to wash this discharge or wash the clothes that are touched by it. The referred Fatwa is clear and there is no need for repetition.

Allaah Knows best.
