Question:

I am a Muslim (Hanafi) boy from Turkey. I have had a sickness in 16 and I have lost one of my testical (producing sperms) but the other one is healthy and I have physician report that I can have children when I get married. So no health problem in getting married and having child for me scientifically. But I have another problem in getting married when I have told the people that I have only one ball the people have asked to get marry or their families rejected me even I have showed them that I do have scientific proof of that I do not have any health problems related with getting married. Finally I haven't told the girl and her family this situation and they have accepted me at the beginning, but in time I have felt bad about that situation and if have told them after getting engaged (7 months later) Now they are suspecting me as a person who faked them. And now they are trying to separate us and my fiancee is a student who dependent on her parents. So her father is deciding she is following him. I want persuade them that this is not faking out. Really I do not know what I am going to do. What is my situation with respect to Shareea'h? What can I do?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

A man having one testicle is not a repulsive deficiency and it does not prevent the married partners from enjoying each other. Therefore, you are not obliged to inform the wife about it, especially if this does not prevent having children. Moreover, you should not have informed the family of this woman about this issue. If you still want to marry her, and she is a religious girl, then try to convince her parents that you were not trying to cheat them by not informing them about the situation and that in principle you are not religiously required to inform them. If they are convinced, all perfect praise be to Allaah, otherwise you should search for another woman, as Allaah might facilitate for you to marry a woman who is better than her. Furthermore, Allaah might have repelled a harm from you by not marrying this woman.

Allaah Knows best.
