Question:

if u do a bad deed under the infulence of a jin would u be punshied for it

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

When committing a sin, if a person is pubescent and is of sound reasoning, and knows that what he is doing is forbidden yet does it deliberately, then he is sinful and is subject to punishment.

However, if he lost his consciousness to an extent that he does not realize what he is doing, then he is not sinful as the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "The pen is lifted (stops from recording deeds) from three kinds of people: a sleeping person until he wakes up, a child until he reaches the age of puberty and an insane person until he starts reasoning." [Ahmad and others].

Allaah Knows best.
