Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

First of all, we ask Allaah to increase your piety, righteousness, love, and affection, and grant you form this woman a pious progeny that will be a comfort to your eyes for both of you.

Marrying a second wife is allowed for any one who is able to fulfill the conditions of being just between the two wives. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 81469.

A second marriage is not an insult to the first wife. The jealousy and grief that a wife may experience because of her husband marrying another wife is absolutely normal; this does not affect the love between the spouses. The evidence is that ‘Aa’ishah may Allaah be pleased with her used to be jealous from Khadeejah may Allaah be pleased with her and yet she used to love the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and she was the most beloved wife of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.

Allaah Knows best.
