Assalamu alaikum.Thank you for Fatwa no.731.I think you have not understood my question.What I wanted to know was since Prophet(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)specifically told us to fast on the day of Arafa should not whole Muslim world(except of course Hajiis) fast when it is Arafa day?Arafa day is when it is Arafa in Mecca?as there is no Arafa day in the rest of the world?Was Salaam.
I am from Pakistan; people usually celebrate Eids one day later than in Saudi Arabia. Now we are facing a problem for fasting on the day of Arafah, whether we fast on the ninth of Dhul Hijjah as the religious scholars believe in Pakistan or on the day when the pilgrims gather in the place of Arafah as some scholars who studied in Saudia say?
