Muslims should not waste time in myths

Question

I want to ask about the papers that are distributed among people, about the dreams in which the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam (may Allaah exalt his mention), or one of his daughters requested many copies of them to be distributed.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

The respected questioner is probably asking about the so-called papers that some people distribute, claiming that the person who distributes them will gain some kind of goodness, and the person who ignores them will be afflicted with some kind of harm. The story of these papers was alleged to be based on a dream in which someone saw the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) and conveyed to him the unfounded myths mentioned in the papers.

Once a Muslim knows this, he should not waste his time in following such myths for which Allaah The Almighty has sent down no authority.

Allaah Knows best.
