Question
Will a person who sincerely repented from drinking alcohol be deprived from drinking it in the Hereafter if he enters paradise?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.
If a person's repentance is sincere, meaning that he relinquishes the sin and never desires to commit it again, and then Allaah The Almighty accepts his repentance and admits him to Paradise. Undoubtedly, such a person will enjoy all that the people of Paradise enjoy. On the other hand, if he insists on drinking alcohol in the worldly life and dies without repenting, then he will be deprived of drinking it in the Hereafter, as the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, informed us. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
