Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

It is confirmed that the Prophet said: "Wiping one's hand on the Yemeni Corner and the Black Corner (i.e. the Black Stone) absolutely wipes out all sins.” [Ahmad and An-Nasaa’i] Besides, Ibn ‘Umar narrated that the Prophet said: “Wiping over them wipes out (all) sins.” [Ahmad] Another narration by At-Tirmithi reads: “Wiping over them expiates all sins.”

However, as far as we know, the Prophet did not specify with the above narrations any kind of Tawaaf; so, whoever wipes over them in any kind of Tawaaf, it is hoped that he will get that reward, be it the Tawaaf of Hajj, ‘Umrah, Farewell Tawaaf, or any optional Tawaaf, as Allaah’s Mercy and Grace are vast.

Allaah Knows best.
