Question

I performed obligatory hajj with my wif in2015. we performed Tamattu hajj we sacrificed animal(hadi) in mecca but not sacrificed any animal in our home country. was it sufficient or we have to slaughter animal again for not slaughtering animal in home country at that of hajj? what is the ruling of hadi and eid ul adha sacrifice if any one do tamattu hajj ?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

As long as you slaughtered the obligatory Hady (i.e., the sacrificial animal), you are no longer required to do anything, praise be to Allah. As for Al-Uddhiyah, it is not obligatory, neither for the pilgrim nor for anyone else. As such, you are not obligated to slaughter anything in your home country. Even though Muslim scholars disagree over the ruling of Al-Uddhiyah for the pilgrim, the most authentic opinion is that it is recommended (Sunnah) for them exactly as it is recommended for other people.

Allah knows the best.
