Is pubg haram and why

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

The game (PUBG) — according to what we have learned about it — is based primarily on chasing, shooting, and virtual killing.

It can be played individually or as part of a team, and it includes voice and text communication with unknown players.

It contains in-game purchases, such as clothing, character skins, crates, and virtual currency.

It does not give the player any financial profit in the usual sense; rather, money is paid mostly for cosmetic or seasonal features.

For some people, it may turn into an addiction or a drain on time, affecting their studies, work, sleep, and family and religious obligations.

At times, the conversations accompanying it include cursing, swearing, hearing forbidden speech, and unrestrained communication.

In addition to these concerns inherent in it, engrossment in it is often accompanied by the neglect of prayer or of [other] duties, entering into financial betting, or purchasing crates of unknown contents in a manner resembling gambling.

If this is its condition, then playing it and wasting time in it is forbidden.

A Muslim should fill his time with what benefits him in his religion and his worldly life, and should beware of becoming a captive to devices of idle amusement and play that squander his time away, for a person will be held accountable for his time before Allah on the Day of Judgement, as stated in the hadith: "The feet of a servant will not move on the Day of Judgement until he is asked about his life and how he spent it..." Narrated by Al-Tirmidhī, who said it is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ (authentic).

Lastly, wasting time is a form of divine punishment for a servant, and it is severe, as it cuts a Muslim off from the path leading to the pleasure of Allah, the Exalted, and success in the Hereafter. Ibn Al-Qayyim said: "Wasting time is worse than death, for wasting time cuts you off from Allah and the Hereafter, while death [only] cuts you off from this world and its people." (End of quote, from Al-Fawā'id)
