Accused of magic

Question

I had a boy friend with whom I was very sincere and honest, we worked in the same company with another girl who live with me in the same apartment. We were all as a group who loves each other and sympathize together; when I came this time from home, he told me that he had difficulties to sleep and he felt not normal so he went to some one who works with Qur'an? Then he accused me that I did (magic) for him that's why he was not sleeping and that when I brought some thing to him or eat I did magic in it where as I did all things naively with him; I swear, and Allah as my witness. Then he said that I did (Sihr) also to our friend, the girl, because I was jealous that she would take her from me where as I considered her as my own sister. I did nothing wrong and I was able to do any thing to confirm that I did no harm from what are they saying but they are totally convinced by what this man who works by Qur'an (?) said. Do you thing that he really works by Qur'an he lies on me and separates between me and my friends and I'm worry in the same time about them because they believe on lies that are very dangerous and destroy my reputation. There is any Du'a or pray to ask God to make things clear and reality appear to them.

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

Dear sister, the situation you described contains many serious matters and we will try to address each according to their importance. First, the person who claims to recite the Qur'an on a patient and makes false accusations about the source of the troubles is not acting in accordance with Sharia or al-Ruqya al-Sharia (recitation of the Qur'an for treatment). Second, to spoil relations between persons is a bad practice. It is practiced only by one of two persons: either by a liar and juggler or by a magician and cheater, both the lie and magic are among major sins that spoil good relations.
No doubt, this is a trial; you should be patient and continually try to convince your female friend that you are far from her blame.
Continue asking Allah to show your innocence and believe in Allah that one day He will surely reveal the reality.
Concerning having a boyfriend, know, dear sister, that Allah forbids all kinds of relations between a man and alien woman except within the boundaries of legal marriage. Also, it is forbidden to work in a place where sexes mix except if there is dire necessity, and then one should abide by all the rules and regulation set by Sharia. No doubt safety from the problems you mentioned is in abiding by the rulings of Sharia.
Allah knows best.
