Doesn’t Know How to Pray

Question:

I just got converted
How do I pray in English because I am able to pray in Arabic
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

First of all, all praise be to Allah, Who guided you to Islam and conferred this blessing upon you. We ask Him to make you firm on it and teach you what benefits you.

It is incumbent on you to learn of the Quran and Athkaar (expressions of remembrance of Allah) what would make your prayer valid.

Therefore, you should memorize in Arabic Al-Faatihah, the Takbeer (saying Allaahu Akbar ‘Allah is the Greatest’) and whatever you can from the other Athkaar such as the Tashahhud, and the Athkaar of Rukoo’ (bowing down) and Sujood (prostration); this is neither impossible nor difficult.

If you are unable to read Arabic, then you can find a transliteration of this in some books (and booklets).

We ask Allah, The Exalted, to grant you success to do what pleases Him.
