Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

First of all, we ask Allaah to facilitate for you a pious husband who will be a comfort to your eyes.

You should know that it is forbidden for males and females to establish affectionate relationships through the internet or other means. Therefore, you are obliged to stop this relationship with this young man and not to chat with him or with any other man in order to be safe with regards to your religion and dignity. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 81356.

Hence, you should forget this man and stop thinking about him.

How do you know that marrying this man is good for you? Chatting on the internet is not a means of knowing the religion and conduct of a person. Therefore, you should consider this and other things which may help you to forget him. You may also refer to Fatwa 84544 about the treatment of love sickness.

As regards the other man who wants to marry you, then if he is religious and has a good moral conduct, then you should accept to marry him. In this case, he should approach your guardian for this purpose. He is a marriageable man to you, so he is not permitted to be in seclusion with you or commit other prohibitions with you until he conducts the marriage contract with you.

Allaah Knows best.
