Ruling on having obsessive doubts about ritual impurity

Question

Assalamu alaikkum, I was laying down on a piece of thick sheet made of cotton. The underwear I was wearing was already impure with a few drops of urine and madhiy. I didn't change it as I have problem of madhiy and thought of changing it during prayer. But I had ejaculation and when I notice the thin cloth I was covered with is totally wet and also the sheet I was laying upon is also wet. Now I have doubt whether the wetness of this reached the floor. Without analyzing properly I poured almost 300 ml of water on it and wiped it till a hole for water drainage in room. Did this twice. But there was a slope near the hole which made too much of water being stagnent there. Someone told me that i should have first wiped that place and then poured water. Since I did like this the whole place has become muthanajjis. Also it's the room where we usually pray too while in home. I poured a little water on the sheet and tested after that whether it is possible for the wetness to reach the floor and found it is. But I didn't verify whether the wetness reached the floor of those najis before I did this cleaning. Though I can take the benefit of doubt my mind insists that the najas reached the floor and I made the whole room najas because of this foolishness. Also the stagnant water is near the doorstep to bedroom and kitchen so obviously it is spread all over the room. I feel guilt that alreadt having so many sins and this impurity which will invalidate my further worships not only mine but my room mates though they are not aware of this. Please advice what I am supposed to do? 99.9% possibility taking the thickness of the sheet i layed upon it would have reached the floor. If so then the stagnant water which is unable to clear makes it more spreading everywhere when we walk over it. Please advice. If any ambiguity please mail me so that I can get a much more clear explanation.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.

Clearly, you suffer from a sort of obsessive devilish whisperings. We advise you to ignore such whisperings and thoughts and pay no attention to them. As for the impurity, as long as you merely suspect that it reached the floor, you should disregard such doubts. Even if it really reached the floor, it is enough to pour some water on the spot to purify it and the water with which you have washed the impurity does not become impure as long as its original qualities have not been altered [by the impurity]. Hence, the room has not become impure. Anyway, you should ignore such whisperings and pay no attention to them.
