Question

Assalaamu alaykum. I bought a tea maker from a company called Satori, and I heard that this is a term from another religion, so is it okay to use it?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

There is no relation between the company's name and its meaning and the ruling on buying or using its products. Whatever the meaning and origin of the name are, they do not have any effect on the permissibility of using that tea maker.

Allaah knows best.
