Question

Assalamu 'alaykum. Our toilet has high water so it splashes a lot. sometimes while urinating, some urine will splash outside of the toilet. I take precaution and wear shoes but others in my home do not. I am afraid of the transfer of impurities, what should i do?Secondly, I was cleaning an impurity on the table and as i poured water, some of the droplets of water splashed from the table where the impurity was and got on my bed. Would this now be impure necessitating bed sheets to be washed or should I consider it pure?May Allah reward you, ameen.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

You may be affected by whispers; if this is the case, then you have to repel them, ignore them, and not pay any attention to them.

Moreover, in principle the bathroom floor is pure. Even if we presume that it is stained with impurity with the trace of the toilet water, then the pure water that is poured on that floor is enough to remove that impurity.

In any case, you should not judge that something is impure unless you are certain about that; a certainty upon which you can swear. So act according to the principle that all things are pure unless you are certain that they are impure.

The same thing is said about the table that you had cleaned from impurity; if the water that drips from it when cleaning it has not changed with impurity, then it is ruled to be pure. Therefore, you do not have to purify whatever this water has touched.

Allah knows best.
