Fatwa No: 384478

Question

Does people in paradise will have many palaces .is Hadith from Abu darda authentic that tent in paradise has 70 doors and each door is also made of pearl.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

We are not aware of the Hadeeth of Abu ad-Dardaa’, which you referred to in the question, and we have not come across it in the abundant reliable books that we have at hand.

We draw your attention, dear brother, that this question is not your first or second question about Paradise and its details. Asking so many questions about the details of the bliss of Paradise is dispraised.

It is enough for a Muslim to know that Allah will honor His Believing Slaves in Paradise with various types of bliss and enjoyment, and that all that the believer desires will find it in it.

Allah Says (what means):

• {We [angels] were your allies in worldly life and [are so] in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request [or wish].} [Quran 41:31]

• {Circulated among them will be plates and vessels of gold. And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally.} [Quran 43:71]

As-Sa’di said: “The term 'therein' refers to Paradise. {And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes.} [Quran 43:71]: This is a comprehensive wording that includes every bliss, joy, comfort of the eye, delight of the heart, and everything that the souls desire of food, drink, clothing, sexual pleasures, beautiful scenery, lush greenery, and adorned buildings; all this exists in Paradise and is prepared for the people of Paradise in the best and most perfect manner.” [End of quote]

Therefore, a Muslim is required to focus on entering Paradise and attaining its highest degrees by performing righteous deeds, and earnestly supplicate Allah to make one attain the highest degree in Paradise, as the Prophet advised us saying: “If you ask Allah, ask Him to grant you Al-Firdaws, for it is the best part and the highest part of Paradise. The Throne of The Most Merciful is above Al-Firdaws.” [Al-Bukhaari]

A believer may have in Paradise many palaces according to his good deeds.

Mu’ath ibn Anas al-Juhani narrated that the Prophet said: “Whoever recites Chapter 112 until he finishes it ten times, Allah will build for him a palace in Paradise. ‘Umar ibn al-Khataab said: 'O Prophet of Allah, then we would recite it so many times.' Thereupon, the Prophet said: 'Allah rewards abundantly, as He is the Most Kind.'” [Ahmad]
