Question

Can you please explain the different discharges of women (i.e. maniy, wadiy, mathi

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

The secretions that a woman sees includes what is known as the vaginal wetness, which is the normal, white or transparent wetness that most women see and that comes out without a reason from the woman, and it is pure according to our view in Islamweb, but it invalidates ablution.

Among these secretions also is Madhiy, which is a white, thin liquid that comes out during foreplay or when thinking about desire; it usually comes out without strong desire and the woman does not usually feel it when it comes out. This kind of discharge is impure, she must wash it and then perform ablution.

These discharges include semen as well, which is a thin yellow liquid, and it may turn white because of the strength of the woman. The woman sees it when she has a strong desire; it comes out with desire, and its release is followed by apathy in the body. This discharge is pure, but it necessitates Ghusl.

As for the Wadi, it is a liquid that comes out after urination, and it is impure, and it necessitates performing ablution.
